    Hi,

    Got my asus a6va with 1gb ram, 1.7ghz centrino and a radeon 256mb x700.

It runs CS:S fine on high, 40fps+ and whatever. When I come to play bf2 at native res of 1280x800, meduim settings, it hovers around 35fps. However, it's very stuttery, like stop - starting. I have fraps and it seems it goes from 35 to 5-10 repeated and repeated, giving this suttering affect. I'm wondering if I'm asking too much of the video card or something? I've tried it with dynamic shadows/lighting too but the same happens.

    Thanks.

I have sort of the same problem, I think bf2 needs 2gigs for best.

    Dont play on wireless.

    Use Omega Drivers.

Probably the amount of RAM as posted. 1GB barely cuts it for BF2. I saw a good gain when going to 2GB.

Sorry but I'd definately disagree there. For six months I ran BF2 on 1gig of ram and it was fine at high settings. My girlfriend plays the game with 768mb ram on medium settings and has no framerate problems either...
