It's a good computer. Haven't heard of X700 XL either, maybe it's just an european regionalism (sort of like how they called the 7800 GTX as 7800 Ultra) or a typo...it should be the x700 only. Chazman knows better about this card as he likes aTi and owns a laptop with that computer.

Maybe they think of MXM x700 or something. Axiom? Some exchangable card format? If it is so - even better. :)
    There is no x700 XL.

    Cheers,

I think that the X700XL has a lower clock speed compared to the nomal X700 (and is only available in mainland europe). However, it should still be better than the X600.
Maar zo een machine voor €1000 is best wel goedkoop. Zou wel handig zijn als je een link naar die machine kan posten.

    Hi Budding,
Is it? Well that is a new info to me. Interesting. Can someone prove that? What clocks does it work on?

    Cheers,

Yep. there is a x800 xl on ati site. SO there must be x700 xl somewhere. Not on Ati though! 700XL are always noted as desktop cards. At least from my google search. And they are better than normal x700.

I've never heard of an X700XL either.

But for $950, you can't go wrong with that laptop.

Maybe you can email the manufacturer/store and ask them about it.

It seems that the X700XL uses DDR1 memory at 350Mhz, and its 3DMark05 result seems to be at a surprising(ly low) 1500 points. But the price for that machine is still very nice.
