    which is better?
the x1400 comes with 512mb hypermemory which means only 128mb dedicated and the rest is from the system memory while the x700 comes with 256mb dedicated (i think).

so which card is better actually?
is the x1400 for the high-end gamers card?

    thanks.

The X700 is the better card. The computer industry is annoying in that names and numbers are very misleading.

    ahh i see.
well i'm debating wether to get the Acer Aspire 1692 (old model i think)
    or the Acer Aspire 5562.

how far is the difference between the x700 and x1400 cards?

    Reletively large, actually.

You may want to fill out the FAQ and post it in the What Notebook Should I buy forums if you're trying to find a good one.

For the memory on the x700..that'll vary. There are 64MB, 128MB and 256MB versions. All support Hypermemory, but those numbers I listed are the dedicated memory option...so if it says 256MB Hypermemory, that's a 128MB dedicated card.

thanks but i dont need to fill in the 'what notebook i should buy' faq casue
i'm pretty much settled for the Acer Aspire 5562 ( http://www.acer.com.sg/products/aspire5560/psp_aspire5560.asp) which has the X1400 hypermemory card.

Basically I just want to know how much i'm losing when going to the x1400 card instead of the x700. is there a benchmark for these?

    thanks.
