i have seen several topics on this when searching but none answered my question.

I just got the hp dv8000 I was told when i ordered that it had 128 onboard video memory and could be configured to use up to 128 notebook mem for a total of 256, i see nothing in settings to acheive this however, i have the latest drives, etc....

    thanks

When the computer boots up you need to hit the set-up key, F1 or F10 and once in the set-up you can change the configuration...options are dedicated, shared, dedicated+shared.
