    Still... even in Oz which is pricier than Canada you could easily get 970 sli for 1800.
    This gen of consoles suck balls... hard. There's no comparison. Paying for online too. Cheaper? Nope.
    Sub 1080p.. sure fine.. 30fps - Hell no!

    There's no correct answer here. The current gen consoles are plenty powerful enough to run games well. The real question is whether the game is actually good or not. The visuals are good enough that it really doesn't matter all that much. Especially if you're sitting on your couch many feet away from your TV.

    Get the system that fits your budget and play style. Some of the console exclusives look good. There's plenty of PC games that consoles won't get.

    My first and last console was Atari 2600.
    After that my dad bought me my first PC Commadore64. God, it was mind-blowing!
    (both still working flawlessly)

    From that Commadore64 till now days PC is the only option.
    So in the last 30 years or so i play only on PC. Can't play it other way.

    I have both a very good laptop and a PS4. My PS4 for the most part is collecting dust. I have GTA V and The Last of Us for it. I pretty much bought the thing for the second game I mentioned, and IMO I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed the heck out of that game and it does have a some very good visuals. I wouldn't say this gen of consoles is terrible, and the PS4 definitely has more horsepower than the xBox. Its just that they aren't on the same level of advanced hardware like the PS3/Xbox 360 release. BF4 on my PS4 compared to my PC just isn't a comparison. The PS4 looks nowhere near as good and certainly doesn't feel anywhere close to as fluid and smooth.

    I mainly use my PS4 for playing movies on my Amazon Prime, Netflix, and as an expensive BluRay Player.

    are you telling the truth cause most people find 60 fps smooth. btw i played aoe3 and enjoyed it more than destiny...pc gamer 4ever

    Nope BF4 on PS4 is 900p ~45-50 FPS in multiplayer per Digital Foundry.

    Like I said the game doesn't feel as smooth or fluid, and his video proves my point. Its not nearly as pretty, nor does it run as fluid as my PC, and I have a laptop. I can't imagine how much better a beast desktop would be. Why would I lie? I have both a PS4 and PC. I like both for their advantages, but console gaming is nowhere near the level of fidelity of current gaming PCs.

    PS4 is cheap enough that it's worth it for the few exclusives and random game I can play with my wife or good friends that don't pc game. Also just to use Netflix, etc..

    My PC gaming is always going to be my primary though. I'm having a blast playing Divinity Original Sin at the moment.

    eeryanee, what is the point of this thread exactly?

    No matter how much you like the new consoles (even if they are great value products for their price range) they simply cannot compete with current and future PC technology. Current multiplatform games, even with unoptimized code, run at lower settings and with compromises in scope, FoV, resolution and many other details.

    That does not stop them from pumping out impressive visuals compared to previous console gens, but compared to current PC tech, they are behind in all aspects. This thread is over.
