    Hello,

    Let's start with the beginning.

Computer was re-installed from scratch. Windows Media Center 2005.

Installed Need for Speed carbon - the game will play but if I max out the Audio on the speakers the system will halt (with a sound loop of 2 seconds or so) and the only way around is to forcefully reboot it.

I upgraded to the Omega drivers AT THE MAX and the FPS are 20 FPS

    ATI Mobility Radeon X600 - 128MB
    17" Widescreen display

Besides the FPS - the screen is not being used fully, there are blank spaces unused at the right and left of the screen (about 2 inches each side).

Any knows how to fix that problem and if 20 FPS are normal? :(

    thanks
