I'd like to know how many people are baffled by this. If yes, please specify which apps crashed.

    Mine:
    -Stepmania
    -Audiosurf
    -Unreal Tournament 2004

Not one here yet, again though I am not a real heavy, or even moderately light, gamer.
the error usually pops up when either way overclocked or there is a resource conflict the Nvidia card does not like. Also mismatched files versions within the driver can cause this too.

    Never overclocked. Temps always fine.

Fallout 3 causes it. And it also crashes whenever I disconnect my projector from the HDMI port.

(I also get artifacts from time to time whenever connected to my external monitor - random green patterns.)

I got it the first time from a driver install error, then another time when overclocking too high.
