    Hello everyone,

I bought converter for Europe Electric Standard 220-240volts.
It says "WARNING: USE ONLY WITH HEAT PRODUCING APPLIANCES WHOSE RATING IS 500 WATTS TO 1600 WATTS."
Also it has pictures; Hair Dryer, Iron, Curling Iron, Flat Iron, Steamer. It doesn't says, you can use with notebook. :S

I want to use with my notebook which is Gateway P-6860FX. Also with my camcorder which is Canon HG10.

Can I use this converter with my P-6860FX?

Your 6860 power supply is 120V / 240V switchable so you don't need it.

don't worry dude mine works fine with 220v, no temp increase due to the input voltage increase.

It works great nothing to worry

You don't need a cable just a adapter to fit it in to the electricity.

    Have fun

you can also get the part of the AC adapter that connect from the brick to the wall for the country you need. I got a Swiss one for 10$ here in Switzerland.

I dont have the same converter.

I just found a cable that fits my country socket so that i dont have to mess up with adapters and it works fine.

I am live in Kosovo and we have 220v. So far it OK.

I've been using an adapter here overseas with no issues. Have it plugged into a power strip right now thats 220 that doesn't need an adapter. My WD external HD is plugged into the same strip.
