    32 bit to 64 bit

    Hello

    I have a p-172x model with 32 bit and 4 gb ram. Is it possible to upgrade to win 7 64 bit and add more ram to 8 gb? If so any recoomendations on the brand of memory and type

    This is the processor you have, and this is the chipset.

    The processor is 64-bit compatible so you can upgrade to a 64-bit copy of Windows. While Intel claims the chipset can only work with up to 4GB of RAM it appears some of our users have had success with 8GB installed. I don't see why you would have problems with more than 4GB but when the chipset doesn't officially support it there are no guarantees.
