    450D Gateway...weird Freezing problem....

    Hi here is my problem...I recently had this notebooks screen replaced, not sure if this is the cause of the problem or not...anyway recently what has happened is that when I power up the laptop the fan will turn on and the power light will be on but nothing else happens the screen is black...the harddrive lights are not on...but the fan is running the entire time. I can restart the lap and it will do this all night...then I figured out that as soon as I turn it on I literally punch the bottom (underneath) the lap close to the HD i think,...it will blink the lights and turn on...then it works ok...but if it is not on an angle...let;s say sitting flat on a table...it will start fuzzing the screen the everything freezes on screen...I can't do anything just turn off....then after this sometimes it will start again or it needs another punch in the "guts" :)...anyway...what could this be? Like I said the screen will either freeze or all of a sudden all the colors on screen will bleed togehter then go black...again not being able to do anything other then turn it off...what does everyone suggest I do...I am savy enought to replace the parts...I am technically inclined....

    This is a XP Pro, 30 GB 1.3 Mhz Intel Centrino Gateway 450d
    The battery is done...will not charge anymore and the bottom, (underneath) get's pretty ass hot as well....it has been doing this for a while now...getting real hot...but never a auto power down due to that or anything...

    My 450rog just started with the same thing.
