Guys, I need help.
I just ran it, and I got 4523. As you see in my sig, I had a close score to 7000..
I really don't know what the problem is. My Foreceware version is 174.12, but I might be because I installed it wrong. As of now, could anyone give me detailed instructions to removing the old driver, and installing the latest and best driver..
thanks.

You can use driver cleaner pro to remove the Nvidia drivers and then once the system reboots you can install the new driver again. You might want to disable automatic updates when you uninstall the driver because Windows Update will go online and download the driver from the site and install the original drivers that came with the system again. However I left these on mine in case I needed to rollback due to issues.Right now my 3D Mark06 is 8342 with 171.16 drivers.

ok, I will try that.
-
Do you have forced AA in nvidia's control panel?
-
I'm installing the 174.60 and it won't work. it keeps on saying that windows has found a problem with it or something........
-
I got it installed..so now I can't access the nvidia control panel from the right click...
-

-
Something may be wrong there, since you can't get the nVidia Control Panel from a right click.
Also, the 3DMark score isn't that big of a deal if you can still play the games you want smoothly. -
I have the latest driver now.
6702 marks. During the CPU test..it was HORRIBLE!!! I had 0 FPS around that test.. -
Latest driver is the 174.70.
-
lol
-
Yes that's true because I was able to run all of the games that I enjoy smoothly stock out of the box.I only upgraded my components because it's a hobby of mine. LOL -
-
Me too! And I went back and downloaded the 174.70 but my 3D Mark went down to 7668after installing the new driver. F.E.A.R still plays excellent though. I have not tried any other games yet. I know 3d Mark does not really matter that much but ..........
LOL
-
where are you all downloading these drivers?
-
Thanks flamarc, I had seen all the references to Laptopvideo2go, I went there late last night and I couldn't find any driver higher that 169....until that is I got your message and realized I must be being an idiot, and I checked the forums and found them there

Question, all of the drivers I have downloaded with the modded inf, are not installing, the setup program makes no changes the driver after running through the install and through the device manager, have disk option it reports these drivers are not compatible with Vista...
I downloaded 174.60 and 174.70 fo vista 32bit and replace the INF in both cases..
Any Ideas? -
Check to see if AA/AF is being forced on and also your resolution. default res si 1280x1024 for 3dmark.
A faster CPU can add a decenent amount (1k easily from a low 1.6ghz, to as much as 2k if your running quad...desktop of course). The CPU test with games is terrible on all computers, even with a Q6600 at 3.6ghz you won't see over 2-3fps -

Just did my frist couple of 3dmarks, and my highest so far is 8377 with the stock drivers, o/c at 620/930....on the SFX
I think I am more than happy with that
My only gripe is all the 17x drivers I have tred crash alot....and bioshock wont even run with any of them.... -
-
download Ntune from nvidia, you can O/C from the display properties menu...only thing I don't like about it is that you have to redo it after every reboot...but I beleive it works more consistantly with different drivers then Rivatuner does...but I may be wrong...
