Any ideas? I just got my P-6860fx on tuesday ran a test on tuesday got a score of 6700 can't remember the exact number. I updated to the driver on here got a 4485 and then removed it to stock and got a 4579. Any ideas or tips would be great beyond this I am loving it but don't know why it dropped :-(

    Thanks!

How are you uninstalling the drivers?

Make sure you go through Add/Remove Programs, restart, boot into Safe Mode, run a driver cleaner such as Driver Cleaner Professional 1.5, restart, and then install newer driver.

Edit: Also, make sure your AC power is plugged in and that your notebook is set to 'High Performance' in the Control Panel.

you should be getting minimum of 7100 if using stock settings in 3Dmark06 1280 x 800 settings. The highest score i got is 7345 with a clean install of vista x64.

My scores went down when i updated my chipset drivers and WLAN drivers but when i installed the chipset drivers and WLAN drivers that came with my system my score went up my.

Like everyone else said, check your power settings, worst case scenario you'll just have to do a clean install and grab the latest driver (175.63 ATM) from laptopvideo2go.com, if that doesn't help I would return it for a new one since you might have gotten a lemon :( .

Well I got the driver off and installed the stock one again and got a 7307 this time around. I tried to find the driver you listed and had no success I also tried the 175.16 and although the setup process would run it wouldn't install. So for now I will leave it be. Thanks

Goto guru3d.com, find the right driver that you need and download it and install, laptpvideo2go is nice but why go through all the trouble and steps?

I thought the 6860fx came installed with Vista 64 bit? Maybe I am wrong.
