    Just bought a Western Digital MyDVR Expander 500gb eSATA drive for $54 at best buy. Its made for use with Tivo, but I have it up and running fine on the esata port of my p7805. Given that the cheapest 500gb externals I've seen on newegg are around that price or a bit more, and are crazy brands I've never heard of it struck me as a great deal. Its also esata, so IMO it will end up performing better than a similar drive using USB 2.0. Get 'em while you can, I might grab another for my girlfriend's 7805 tomorrow.

    hmm, the online site doens't even have a 500GB model listed. wonder if this was a local deal?

    Looks like the drive inside is a WD5000AVJS, so 7200.
