I just bought a 6020GZ from Best Buy. Well, I hate how it's all set up for you and it has all that crap on there. So, viola, clean format and installed XP Pro.

Everything went w/out a hitch, go it on the wireless network and activated Windows. Well, I thought I had all the drivers - but device manager says I don't.

It doesn't recognize a "System Base?" or the USB controllers.

I looked all over Gateway's website, put in my ser# and it gave me drivers - but not these. I've done a search on all 5 recovery disks...nothing.

Any help? Trying to restore my CPU now, but it is hanging on Restore CD#5?

Sounds like it might be the Intel chipset driver - did you pull that from Gateways site and try it? Just do a keyword search in downloads for 6020gz and you'll see the list. Could also be the media card slot or the modem, sorry, not sure, try em all :)
