It's happened to me two or three times, and I've had my 6831 for a month. It also happened on my old 8708 when I first upgraded to Vista (I corrected that with a driver upgrade)

I'm not using stock drivers, so whether or not it's a driver issue, it's affecting more than just one version.

In short, I don't think it's worth worrying about unless it starts to happen while your in Windows and using the PC

I actually have not experienced this issue as of yet on my gateway. But I wiped my 6831 clean right after I got it and updated my video drivers to the latest that I was able to find on laptop video 2 go.Now I did experience this on my Acer laptop and I had to download an update to my video driver as it was also causing some other intermitent problems with some of my other programs and games.
