yesterday my 6831 shut off at random and i was concerned to why this happened, turns out the bottem of the laptop was hot, when i turned it back on after 20 min i noticed the exhaust fans to the rear left of the laptop were not functioning. gateways says they cannot help me since i upgraded to win 7 some time ago and says its the incompatable drivers that is resulting this. But i know thats bull since it was working fine up until yesterday.

I guess is there a way to get a new fan and replace it myself or would there be another way of doing this, and does anyone else here have had a similar problem?

    thanks
