    6831fx stripped screw stuck on drive caddy (can't remove drive)

    i was trying to take the drive that came stock with my laptop out and i got two of the screws off but the two others closest to the sata connector will not budge and i accidentally stripped them. Please HELP! Thanks

    burn it out with your light saber!

    get some pliers to grip around the end of it, or put some super glue in the there and stick the screw driver back in, so you can reform its shape.

    the edges are round and its head is flat I don't think the pliers method will work. I hope the the super glue method works... because I dont wanna ruin my drive (in the caddy)

    Pliers will still work, you just have to apply a lot of pressure and be careful to avoid them slipping off.

    If nothing else works you can carve a slot in the head of the screw and use a flat head screw driver to remove it... or if that doesn't work you can always just cut the screw head off with a Dremel and then remove the body with pliers from the hard drive directly (though both of the cutting methods should be a last ditch effort!)
