    6850FX to windows 7?

    I purchased a student Windows 7 Ultimate and want to install it on my M-6850FX. I'm running Vista-32 at the moment, and was wondering if anyone else has had any issues with the process of upgrading (drivers or otherwise). I did a search for M-6850FX, but didn't see much come up and I don't know which other laptops it would share with.



    The whole reason I want to upgrade is because my laptop should be a halfway decent machine, but I'm having a lot of lag issues. Sometimes when just viewing a website it will pause and jump when trying to scroll down and if I click on a menu it will pause for a few seconds before popping up... don't even get me started on gaming. It did fine starting out, but it is getting worse. I run malwarebytes, super-antispyware and AVG every Tuesday morning and defrag when needed, so it isn't from a lack of maintenance.
