    Hey,
Just want to make 100% sure before i pull the trigger, if the 6860 supports OCZ 4GB PC2-5400 and or the PC2-6400? The stock is PC2-5300.
Just confused a bit by laptop ram and how picky it is..
    cheers!

It supports up to PC2-5300/400 (same thing) which is DDR2-667. You can get PC2-6400/DDR2-800 but it will be downclocked. Just get the cheaper set of the two, but make sure any set you buy has lifetime warranty.

ive never liked stock ram, and ive always used OCZ or G.Skill. It looks like changing the 2x2gb stock sticks to an $35-40 ocz pc2-6400 will only give you a 1% increase in performance but more points in testing. May even try to OC the cpu a minimal amount as well now
