I have a 6860FX and I've never had an issue with it until now. The strangest thing happened earlier. I was on my laptop, and it was plugged in with the battery at 100%, and boom, it just shut off. Nothing else turned off in the room, no power surge or anything like that.

I went to check the power cord and charger to make sure everything was plugged in properly and it was all in order. Tried letting it cool down for a bit, thinking it was just overheated but couldn't get it to work. I started playing around at this point...I would plug the power brick into another outlet and the light would come on and than as soon as I would plug it into the laptop, boom, the light would turn off and the laptop would not power on. I Unplugged the cord leading to the power supply brick and plugged in the charger to the laptop, then plugged the cord back into the power supply and it suddenly turned on.

I have no idea what is going on, has anything experienced anything like this at all? I think I'm gonna order a new power supply just in case. I found one for 60 bucks brand new..

PS....Once it turned on, I unplugged the battery pack to see if the battery was dead and it's still on, as I'm typing this message....I gather the battery is fine, but for some reason it wasn't turning on earlier without the power supply, which makes no sense at all.
