only 50$ less does anyone think they'll go $100 off or even $150 in the future?

see i'm trying to decide between the 6831 which is going for 1,199 right now and the 6860 which has more ram and a bigger hard drive and a slightly faster cpu which i'm going to keep for about 6 months till i know i wont have to use the warranty, then i'll swap it of a T9300. what do people think is it worth it to wait for the 6860 to drop the price or should i just get the 6831?

The Ad is the same as last time. Laptop + Game + Geek Squad = $1,349.99 or just laptop 1,299.99

The 6831FX should actually come with the same processor. The newer models of the 6831FX all came with the T5550.

on the best buy site it says the cpu speed is 1.67GHz compared with 1.83GHz of the 6860
    check http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...=product&tab=2&id=1195599780039#productdetail

plus it's not just the cpu because i'll change it eventually, it's the 64 bit OS, and the ram to go with it plus the extra HD space, it'll just save me upgrading everything. the problem is you can't beat 1,199 for price, i would buy it but i'd rather the 6068 i just want to know if it is worth it to wait for it to drop its price by maybe $100, i don't mind waiting for maybe another month but after that i'd rather have a laptop so i thought i'd ask people if they knew if best buy would drop their prices in that time frame.

1,249.99 was that a typo or is it going for that price somewhere, on the site it say's 1,349.99, i would by it in a second for 1,249.99. $100 may not seem like much but it's the difference between being able to afford a new processor or not. so i'd rather get it for less and wait thats all.

plus link me if it's for 1,249.99 somewhere

no its 1299 come sunday. im sure it was just a typo on his part . im sure it will be a month or 2 if we see it go back down to 1249 so i would say if you need it nowish i would just pull the trigger and grab it.

Looks like it's a package deal. Same price, you just get a free game now. Pretty misleading labeling the laptop as 1299.

    clicky for BB deal info

Yeah, not a great deal and it's NOT the same as it was a few weeks ago, which was $100 off and a free game whereas this is $50 off and a free game.

The game is not really free, you pay $49.99 for it, it includes the geek squad setup. I just bought Crysis for $39.99 saved $10.00, and used my own geek self to optimize my lappy. :)

Just came from my local BB and got the $50.00 and the free game!! I picked up Call of Duty 4 .
The girl at the counter didn't know anything about that deal and said she just can give me the money difference but not the game until I showed her that online and she had to ask 2 more before she told me to pick up a game under $49.99
