    Hi all,

Recently after a format, I upgraded the BIOS on my 6860fx to the Gateway one (9/3/2008, 94.28 I believe). The flash went fine (used the DOS USB-key method), rebooted, but now Vista bluescreens when trying to load.

Has anyone had a similar problem and been able to fix it?

Although formatting again and popping Vista on is not difficult (and it is indeed an option, everything is backed up), I'd rather not do it just because of the hassle.

    Any opinions?

Most likely the settings for hard drive is set to AHCI, put it back to IDE or whatever the option is. It should be able to load then.

It's one of the options in the BIOS.
