For better or worse, I've decided to upgrade to a T9300 in my 6860FX. I see several T9300's on ebay, but I don't know if they are the correct socket type or not. Is "BGA479/PGA478" the correct socket type?

    Thanks!

    PGA478.

BGA = Ball Grid Array, which is used on "fixed chip" motherboards.
PGA = Pin Grid Array, which is what laptops use (for now, at least)

    And just for completeness' sake:

LGA = Land Grid Array, which is Intel's new desktop socket-style of choice, and requires an elaborate "holder" that keeps a chip's bottom touching a bunch of very fragile pins.
