    Hello, it me ROT112.

And i need help with my 6860FX.

I has been slowly getting slower and slower.

Programs are taking longer to start up and it is getting rediculous. I was thinking about reinstalling Vista x64 and see if that help.

Crysis Warhead which used to run uber smooth and all my other games at MAX are now running slowly.

Aside from all the performance decreases i have been getting higher temps.

    I have tried:
    Running CCleaner
    Disk DeFrag
    Auslogics Boost Optimizer
    Running MaleWare Bytes

Everything humanly possible. And still no help.

I need help on what to do.

I am thinking to just reinstall my Vista and hope for the best.

If it's games that run slowly, maybe you should check GPU-Z and see what frequency your gpu is running at... 625/925 is scary.

yeah...i have always ran my gpu at that OC setting. Now i am getting better temps since i have propped my laptop up.

My max GPU temp is now 65C. Which is great.

But now it is a problem throughout the whole computer. i really need help on this issue asap

How full is your hard drive? If its nearing max capacity it will get quite slow as it has to hunt for places to erase and restore information all over the disk.

What processes are running in your background?

Do you have it in powersave mode for some reason?

Have you cleaned it recently (probably isnt an issue with speed but it never hurts to make the rig feel good :) )

Also how large is your OS? Sometimes if your OS gets to big for itself it can cause slowdowns.

Of course i reformat and reinstall everything about every 12-18 months as i like a fresh system and i hate when it all gets bogged down
