    6860FX Weird Keyboard Problem...

    Hi Folks,
    My trusty FX has developed a problem that I've not seen before, I can only type the following letters:

    beghinopqrtuwy

    That's it!

    I've plugged in a USB keyboard to type this message and no problems with that...

    Any ideas - I found one thread on google with the same problem but no solution

    capital letters not working.

    Well I've tried two things to troubleshoot the keyboard problem:

    1. Loaded up a Linux OS on CD - keyboard did not work (not a windows driver fault then?

    2. Disassembled the laptop and unplugged the connector for the keyboard and re-connected.

    No change - is it likely to be keyboard failure or the connector on the motherboard?

    Oh well I ordered a new keyboard on eBay for just under $19 shipped - here's hoping that's what the problem is!

    Oh well the replacement keybpard arrived today and that's me typing on it now - $19 well spent I reckon ;)
