I've had my 6860 for about 4 months now, and have had no problems up to this point. My wireless internet was working fine.

But now whenever I try to connect my computer is unable to find any networks. I've tried disabling firewall, but that didn't help. Any suggestions, or do you think my wireless card went bad?

Did you recently update your wireless network adapter's driver? It may be possible the driver update is causing the problem. You can try rolling back the driver to the last one.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Just downloaded new drivers, and computer says something about "did not install new drivers because your card is already up to date"

For a little more info, when I diagnose why it isnt conneecting, it says:

Wireless capability on this computer is turned off. Please turn on wireless capability. This can be done by using a switch, which is usually found on the front or side of the computer, or a function key combination.

Yet my wireless switch is in the "On" position.

did u turn the switch on and off? try that and then if that doesn't work, open the notebook up because then something might be messed up or out off place.

Try pressing the function key + F2.

    Thanks for suggestion.

Well I figured out the problem, and I feel pretty silly it took me so long to figure out what happened. I play World of Warcraft and use CTRL+F keys to play the game. With the Function key close to the Ctrl key, I sometimes hit it instead of CTRL. I somehow managed to hit the Fn key with my F2 key, which as it turns out, disables wireless connectivity.

To fix the problem all I had to do was hit the Fn and F2 key again to toggle my wireless back on.

Wow do I feel dumb. :p

    edit: Thanks iaMtHeAnimaL!
