Since the Win7 beta is going to end before it's released. I will need to go back to windows xp for a while. I have a copy of sp3, but I have had problems in the past installing the audio drivers. Does anyone have a method that gets the drivers to work on an installation of XP sp3?

thanks, I've been going by a different guide that just errors on the audio install. I'll use this one once I head back.

If that doesn't work, consider a workaround like this - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186046 . I was beating my brains out over how to get sound working on my 7811 when I realized I was wasting a ton of time and effort over something that would cost 10 bucks to fix lol.
Same with the webcam microphone - after way too much time, I bethought myself of looking for something like this - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836159009.
Voila. 20 bucks extra and I can put XP on either my 6860 or my 7811 and who cares about the stupid Conexant sound problems lol.

Best of luck whatever you do!
