Alright I have a problem with my 6860fx (sort of). I'm trying to use a sound card recorder, and I've tried a few, but none of them can find my sound card. I'm wondering if there would be a fix for this.

I tried finding the sound card that's in this laptop, but I haven't been able to turn that up anywhere. I was wondering if someone could help me with my problems. Thanks in advance!

No clue, but if a program somehow can't find the sound system, would that mean it's not compatible with Vista's new sound system? I'd guess it's an issue with the program.

There's Audacity, although honestly I always have trouble figuring it out, or have sound skipping issues or whatever.

I can record using the mic with built in, but I want to record directly through my sound card. I've tried audacity, and total recorder, but neither is able to record through my sound card, so far as I can tell. I want to record through the sound card that way I don't have to worry about any noises in the room. Plus, I think that the quality would be better.
