Stating facts with no sources eh? how does that work? I actually own a chip from the seller and you dont so I am about 100 steps up on you there. You have no links to prove what your saying, yet everyone else going up against you is wrong. While it would make sense that it is an ES and I admit that in my last post if you bothered to read it.
I have not looked at that link since the last time I purchased from him, and it stated nothing about being an ES at that point, so I had no idea it had changed, sorry for not checking that page every day since I bought it so I wouldnt "mis inform" someone.
This is all "speculation" on your part, you have no proof at ALL.
-
i bought mine because it was the fastest chip for my machine (at the time-2 months ago.
) and i was not really happy with the t9300's response time. (personal opinion).
i have way to many programs running and multiple windows open at any one given time. and i need my machine to be able to adapt to any given situation thrown at it. my field of work. (problem solving) and the x9000 did that. and im only barely running this chip. i need to over clock it to at least 3.4. people talking about heat running at 2.8 or 3.0 are really in trouble then! better get that heat stuff under control so you can move up 400 mhz should we find the right stuff to make that a reality. (x9000/x9100 in gateway fx laptops only) -
yeah I need a thermal pad, I just am letting this aluminum foil pass me over till I get some cash, just got an underage drinking ticket lol so I got no mooolah
-
Feel better about yourself, yet?
You didn't even pay any attention to what those other people "going against me" were saying were you? Just busy sitting there thinking about your ego.
One said it's impossible to make fake chips. When I pointed out how the chips are real and the credentials are fake another person backed me up and said that these are ES chips.
That person on top of saying these are ES chips said that ES chip owners are proud to own them and that I was wrong to think otherwise. I had to point out that other ES chip owners (you) were pretending to have chips they didn't have. After I pointed out that error, no response.
Should I go on? Maybe your problem is that you're not actually reading anything and that your main source of information is your vivid imagination. You should read what people post before trying to pretend they are drawing sides. They are doing the right thing by trying to make sure facts are stated.
Keep trying to discredit me if you want. You're really only looking out for yourself now and have totally turned the topic off course. -

I remember it blowing my mind when they introduced a 200 mHz cpu. I though that was the fastest thing that would ever be created on earth
-
We should all come together for the "Nars' thermal pad fund"
-
-
um does the pattern show that a t8300 will drop to 100$?
-
-
LOL, that's just sad.
-
and I think its sad you just think about me
just make an on topic post because I ranted about going off topic, go for a T9300, looking bak I would have done that, since im having heat problems and all... -
So I've heard a lot of mixed things... basically what I'm between now is a t9300 or x7800 as they are closest in price(about $5 difference with shipping). Right now I'm thinking that the x7800 would be more beneficial because I plan on having this lappy for at least two more years, unless my manager pisses me off an I decide to throw it down the stairs and cash in on my service plan early, anyways I like the x7800 because it allows me to OC if I decide it is needed, which I may have to do because I am studying electrical engineering and am unsure as to how many things I'll need to be running such as CAD programs and the like. Any agreements or arguments? Thanks again for all the input.
-
This of course, is just my opinion, but I recommend going with the x7800. Youre gonna get more for your money. Even moreso if johnksss can get the BIOS multiplier unlocked. The T9300 is one AWESOME processor, thats undisputed, but the x7800 gives you 500mhz more for free right now and possibly a GHZ+ more in the future. Although it's possible your crotch may be set ablaze at over 3.2ghz.
In all seriousness, I predict that with proper undervolting and AS5 applied, the highest temps we'll see at 3.5ghz(if this can even be reached) will be 85C, which is pretty warm, but still within specs. These temps, of course, are only applicable with a torture test such as Orthos running. I would imagine mid 70s while doing anything else processor intensive such as gaming, encoding, etc and upper 30s to low 40s while idle. -
You can't make a bad choice with the processors your considering, as long as you understand exactly what your buying.
-
Thanks for all of your help guys(even the high school drama mixed in) I plan on ordering an x7800. It will be UV'd and eventually OC'd when I feel I need it.
-
im ordering a t8300 but i got all the information to decide here too thanks
-
your gonna love your x series chip like the rest of us do.
edit: alright! which one of you talked to a gateway employee around here..... seems they heard i got my laptop fixed and my said box for return never got shipped!....LMAO* -
well another thread went astray, however the information is there
i see everyone found his own, enjoy your chips gentleman. -
Anyway, it has been a pretty good thread other than the emotional BS. But that's what happens when people take a search for the facts as a personal attack. -

Also undervolt it if you will. I want to see if it will actually run cooler than the t9300's when undervolted. -
anyone know if Intels new quad core Penryn mobile processor will be compatible with the 6860 when it is released? it would be overkill but its always fun to dream.
i just got my 6860 yesterday from bestbuy, after i get it paid off im probably going to jump in on the t9300 bandwagon -
Kamin_Majere =][= Ordo Hereticus
Best Buy is still selling 6860's? How Much (if you dont mind my asking) -
-
