    Hey.
I just noticed that my "I" key makes an eerie scraping noise when I press it. It is really annoying (for now, I have music playing). To my main question: Are there any precautions or tips that I should know before I remove the key? Thanks.

Just pop it off evenly from one side. You probably got a crumb stuck under there ;)

Yeah, sometimes I can't resist a snack while browsing the forums ;)
    Thanks Brian.

Mission accomplished, though it wasn't as easy as it sounded. Probably because I was too careful.
All I found under the "I" and the "O" key was a hair in them. Unless a crumb was picked up by the key and dropped, I don't see why it would make that sound... Oh well, it's better now and I'm happy.

Be very careful when removing the keys. I had a sticky 8 key and had no problem popping off the 8 cover and seeing the tiny piece of sand stuck under the gizmo that levers the key up and down. Did I carefully remove the sand and leave the gizmo alone? No, I popped the gizmo off too, thinking it should come off and on as easily as the key did. Well, it doesn't. I snapped these teeny little flanges off when I tried to pop it back in and ended up having to replace the whole keyboard! It was easy to do, but cost me $78 with shipping.

Moral: Don't remove anything but the actual key and be careful that the little rubber doohickey under it doesn't go flying across the room. And don't eat over your keyboard.
