I just purchased a 7405gx from best buy, gotta good deal when they couldn't find the battery for it, ($900.00). I didn't think it would be a problem getting a battery but it is. called gateway and they don't even list this machine and I can't find anywhere that has a battery for this.
Does anybody know where I can get a battery for a 7405GX or at least give me a brand and number from the battery so I know exactly what I'm searching for.

The following link should be the one you need. I have been researching the same for an additional battery and ac adapter for my 7422gx. Note the /Retail 7000. These are for any 7000 series retail laptop. Hope this helps.

You can also get a battery from eMachines. The m68xx machines are identical to the 7405, 7422, 7426 etc.

    First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap?
