Anyone experiencing eyestrain problems with the Ultrabright screen? Or have some solutions, besides the obvious ones of reducing ambient light in the room. I have had my 7405GX since January, and love this laptop, but I think it is going to become useless because of headaches for the eyestrain in my right eye. I read somewhere that after millennium of eye evolution of our hunter/gather past that our eyes are designed to see at distances and modern behavior of close-up viewing causes eye aliments. Such information doesn’t help, much. I want to sit in front of my laptop for hours at a time reading, playing games working etc. etc. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated so as not to have to sell the laptop.

    Thanks For The Reply.

I too just went to the eye doctor. I have never worn glasses in the past, and the optometrist said he would not have recommend glasses except for my complaint sence using the ultra bright screen. He gave me a prescription for glasses and with antiglare coating. So, glasses can make a difference? Searching the Internet I have discovered that computer monitor eyestrain is not all that uncommon and there are a few things to do to help. Basically, doing things that rest the eyes.

Well let me just put it this way... I started using computers back in 1975 in the Navy... Since then I now wear Tri-Focal's and with out them can not read any of the screen fonts any more...

I use 5 monitors on our system to design products with so I have to bounce my eyes all over the place and see whats rendering as it is...

Glad to here its not the monitor but your going blind like me!!![8D]
