Does anyone know how much of a difference it makes to upgrade ram from the stock 512 to 768 (swap a 256 for a 512) or if it's significantly better to upgrade to 1280 (swap a 256 for 1024). I'm not keen on opening the keyboard to upgrade so it's a one slot upgrade for me. I'm guessing upgrading to 768 wouldn't make much of a difference but going to 1280 should be noticeable.

Also anyone know if this module would work: http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator/PartsInfo.asp?ktcpartno=KVR400D2S3/1G ?

Hmm - seems this is the recommended ram: http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator/PartsInfo.asp?ktcpartno=KVR400D2S3/1G

looking at the dimensions - it seems to be a different size than the one mentioned in the first post. Does the 7405 take non-standard ram?

    Received reply from Kingston:

"The M12864c250 is 333mhz, so it is different. It is probably the same form factor, but the speed is different.

    Best Regards,

    Steve Panayiotou"

A telephone number was attached so I'll call to completely verify that only the speed is different. If so, a faster ram chip can be had for a third of the price
