I recently purchased a Gateway Amd 64 model 7405gx laptop. The specs online and in the store state it has 802.11b/g wireless networking. However after getting it home I noticed the box states only 802.11g.

Has anyone else with this machine and the same info on the box tested it to actually have 802.11b wireless networking capability?

Don't want to open it til I'm sure.

802.11g is backward compatible with b. It's implied so they don't bother listing it out. So yes, 802.11b is supported.
