The 7415GX is just an older version of the 7422/7426GX, with a smaller hard drive, slower processor, and less RAM. Same case, video card, and screen. Under $800 is a fantastic price, just be ready to buy some more RAM and a faster hard drive if you plan on doing any gaming, and don't expect to run DooM 3 on max settings. It's also not a light computer, at 7.5 pounds, and gets at best 2:30 battery life. Still, under $800 = terrific value. The 7422GX I owned for a while was a fantastic, versatile machine, albiet not up to snuff for high-end 3D gaming. As long as you don't mind cranking down the graphics on newer games (and don't plan to carry it around all day), I'd reccomend picking it up.

thx lowlymarine... nice faq you've compiled.
with the lack of a decent warranty, i think i will have to pass on this unit.
