I'm pretty sure both the 7510 and the 7515 have 4200 RPM hard drives, that is one of the issues people have with these 2 notebooks. On a side note is says Battery life - over 3 hrs. I think thats BS, I find it hard to believe it last more then 2 hrs, my 7510 wont.

I have the mx7515 and mine didnt have any usb prob or anything and i literally run around 10 usb devices. Its a great machines i mean tons... tons of power. It would take a Pentium M Dothan 2.2 to be comperable in an Intel b/c of power and the great battery life of Dothans. I'll settle for RAW power and 2 h 15 mins or so battery life... gets me through my history class and thats all i need lol... then its my workstation at home. I run dual monitors, s-vid to tv, ext dvd burner, 100gig 7200 ext hd, wireless lazer mouse/keyboard, media reader, joystick, webcam, flash drives, printers, etc... handles it all nicely.

Hard drive speed won't affect games that much. Load times will be faster. A faster hard drive will help system performance. It will boot faster, applications open a little quicker, etc. It really depends on what your are doing. If you are surfing or email, it won't matter much, but hard drive intense apps like audio or video encoding will be a lot faster. Good Luck.

Dont believe what you saw on 7515's specs...I was almost sure mine was shipped with 4200RPM Fujitsu and I realized that in fact has a 5400RPM Hitachi....

I bought my MX7515 at Futureshop. It comes with the Hitachi 5400 HD - the ad is wrong.

It's also supposed to come with High speed USB 2.0 ports - and that "seems" to be a misprint too - mine won't work at 2.0 speed yet
