The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    7515 and MS Media Center

    I'm toying with the idea of turning my 7515 into a TV/DVR device. I'd like to plug it into my cable box, record TV shows etc etc...

    What I had in mind is using Microsoft Media Center and the AVerMedia AVerTV™ CardBus MCE ( http://www.aver.com/products/tvtuner_avertv_cardbusmce.shtml)

    My main question is if the x600 video card is compaitable with Media Center. I checked the compatibility list and it shows the ATI RADEON X600 XT as compatible.

    Any comments advice would be greatly appreciated.
