While digging through some FTP info.. I ran across a fx Series test report recently completed, and passed. Looks like Walmart will be bringing us some discounted FX systems in the near future, eh? Also looks like this is the 7805u, or something similar.. Anyhow, just a heads up. Wish I had more time to be around, but thought this was a good effort since I can't be here as often as I like. :)

download the test report here.. you'll see what I mean. :)

Well.. I'd imagine less than BB charges. It's the same setup.. and you know how Wally World likes to undercut the rest of the competition.

been a minute eh? I haven't been on much.. Just gettin accustomed to Miami. And, postponing a new rig.. I've been tempted a couple times, but gotta stick it out til may or june for the new Phantom. :)

I doubt they'll err and ship laptops with specs different than advertised (e.g. 1900x1200 v. 1440x900 LCDs). WM is notoriously demanding of its vendors.

E-wreck do you have any idea when they will be available at WM? any hint? I am not happy with the current price at JR or BB given that it was 1199 on newegg

It looks to me from the specs that this thing will sport only 512MB video memory, so I'll be curious to see if they call it p-7805u with yet another variation of specs.

I think it's safe to assume that walmart would have these within the next couple weeks. In the Test Report it's been sent to Production, so shouldn't be far off. Guess we'll have to wait an' see :)
