    Hello,

I have a 7801 with the 1920 X 1200 LCD screen and my wife wants a new 7915 FX but does not game much and likes the lower resolution just for work purposes. Question is can I put the 1920 X 1200 LCD off of my 7801 onto her new 7915 and will it work? Since she does not game I would like the new NVIDIA GTX 260 graphics card but also really like my 1920 X 1200 LCD screen. Anyone know if this swap will work? I have not bought the 7915 yet so that is why I am asking. Thanks!

Gateway says the inverters (for the screens) used on both are different. Not sure if thats true.

I think its like screen connected to the inverter and inverter to the motherboard. Inverter should already be there on the wire that connects the motherboard. Just google.

Edit : Is the inverter compatible with the motherboard ? Thats what i have no idea of. Or it doesn't matter ?

So the inverter is inside the back/bottom side of the LCD screen itself? If so the inverter stays with the LCD screen which is nice. Do I have it correct?
