I have the FX 7805 with windows XP 32bit installed with the 179.48 Nvidia video driver and when i play video games it started to blue screen a day or 2 ago. It freezes at random times then just blue screens saying nv4_disp error. Anyone know a fix? Hopefully not a reformat?

Bump again?

sorry but you didn't give us nearly enough information, and in any case, you will have to try different things to figure out what fixes it... your best bet is to try a different nvidia driver and see if it helps

Yes that error is telling you there's an nvidia display driver problem. Use a different driver.
I recommend the Dox 185.20, available here:

The 185.20 will work with a resolution of 1900x1200? The dox 182.05 has a really small resolution.. like 1024x768.

Ok i installed the 185.20 and tried to play CoD4 but same thing happened about 10 minutes in...

Im just going to Reformat, not worth all the trouble... I can save most of my games anyways. Thanks for the help, sorry for wasting time.

Changing drivers is easier than reinstalling windows and updating all the drivers and everything else.
Make sure you're removing the old drivers and installing the new ones correctly. You can try a couple more before reformatting at least..
You didn't waste anybodys time, were here to help -
I tried atleast 5 different drivers and nothing changed. I just reformatted and im going to try dox.
