I just asked a similar question in another thread. Someone will chime in and tell you to find the 7805 thread. Which I haven't discovered just yet.

    My 3rd laptop ever owning.

1000th laptop having ever worked with.

    By far, the best ever.

Incredibly stable (assuming you are using Vista or Windows 7) and powerful.

Right now, in my opinion, the absolute best value in laptops available.

I ran for 8 days without rebooting in Windows 7. Only rebooted once the newest Intel RAID matrix software manager got released.

Out of the box, from what I've seen here, there are no hardware issues other than a few here and there. Any machine will have a few faulty machines that have to be returned. The white blotch issue though is another one out there you need to be warry of. Overall I have the default Vista 64 install and am very happy with the system.

I just went to a P9600 and for two days now I've experienced 100% stability. Huge difference from my previous XT5000T and wondering what day it would just die. My other planned additions are a 500Gig second drive and the internal Blue Tooth as described in another thread here.

Does this guy still come with reinstall discs, so you can do a clean Vista install?

And anyone know if it holds up to running the CPUs at 100% all the time (Folding @ Home...plus games of course)?

I've run Prime95 dual core 6 hours with no issues. You have to create restore DVD's two for the system and one for apps. There are no actual DVD's supplied, that seems to be the norm for todays systems.

Great system but my Expresscard Slot Latch failed last night. It might just be a fluke. Excellent value for the money given the WUGA LCD on mine. I've had no system hangs thus far.
