If my 7805 is defective and on the off chance they actually just decide to give me a new one, whats the chances they would offer a 7801? My laptop now is the 1900x1200 resolution version of the 7805, which is the only reason I bought it (they let me open it before i bought it :D). If im not mistaken the 1900x1200 7805's are identical to the 7801's right?

The HDD is a bit smaller on the 7801's (200GB I think). Other than that, they are identical. I'd say that your chances are good that they offer you a 7801, if they have one, at least.

GPU is different. 7801 has 512Mb and 7805 has 1GB

Chances are not good since the 7805 is a BestBuy exclusive and the 7801's are sold by other outlets.

On the other hand, you might get lucky again and get another 7805 with 1920x1200 screen.

The ones I've seen on eBay have 200BG HDD. Must be the very early models. I must be mistaken, my bad.

Isn't the 7801u "sold out" everywhere? Tehkun, you could replace your 7805u with a new one and buy a 1920x1200 lcd screen for around $150. Overall, the overall cost should be $1300 (which is $150 more than the discount you could have received from TigerDirect if you order two weeks earlier).
