    7805 what temps are you seeing?

    My 2nd 7805 and the temps are about 10 degrees higher than the 1st. The cpu is fine as the TZs but the gpu can hit 80 after one hour of stress

    80C is fine for a graphics card. escpecially after an hour.

    Anything below 90 is fine. ;)

    Using the 7805 on my bed (with a book not block the vents) I'm getting 45-50 GPU and 46-51 for CPU during regular browser/video use.

    After finding the sweet spot on my CPU, I run it at max speed and way undervolted. My CPU idles at 25-26 Celsius and at full load for 10 minutes, it gets to 40-42 Celsius.

    I was getting about 2-3 Celsius higher before I took off the old thermal pad and applied Arctic Silver 5.

    As for the GPU, I have no idea.

    I "fuzzy cubed" mine for maybe 20 minutes and only saw GPU temps of about 65c with the back propped up. Sounds like the heatsink on #2 for you isn't seated quite as well, OP. That said there isn't much you can do about it unless you send it back or somethin since its buried. But 80 isn't really "unreasonable" I've had desktop adapters that ran hotter than that stock.

    I've got ALOT of programs running in the background. I've got norton internet security, avira, everest monitoring, malwarebytes just to name a few. i know i shouldn't even have norton and avira running simultaneously but meh im too lazy to change it. when i just got it i was probably at 40-43 browsing

    After 30 minute ATITool Artifact testing (aka Fuzzy Cube):

    TZ's at 58c
    Core 0 at 38c
    Core 1 at 40c
    GPU at 75c

    No OC'ing or under-volting done, but I have applied MX-2 to both CPU and GPU. There is some work involved to getting to the GPU but it really isn't that bad, just keep track of all the Screws;-). Hardest part is pulling off the media bar.

    Edit: Forgot to mention ambient temps were at 20.5c.

    Yeah but I mean my CPU is at 25c and 21c right now and I've been watching 28 Days Later for 45minutes...
