I've seen a couple people who have done this, but the links to the cards they used aren't working (or they used a half height card which I'm not interested in). There's a bunch of cheap ones on ebay but most are OEM for certain brands, I'm concerned that they may not work in this laptop. Any thoughts?

The OEM ones you get get on ebay are probably like the ones that dell sells OEM,but drivers or the card may not work with another brand.

I bought mine on Amazon.com. Orginal equipment from Intel and came with the Intel software disk. Just add a third wire(I routed mine up and behind the display) and solid 300 Mbps all the time. Great increase in speed and signal then the 5100 that orginally came with it. Paid about $34.00 if I remeber correctly. :)
