    Ok simple or complicated question depends on how you look at it.

    Is there a way to make the VGA or HDMI ports function as inputs. IE use them to receive a Video (and audio with hdmi) and then display them to the laptops screen.

    Was wondering cause i was planning on hooking my 360 via HDMI or VGA (have the cable) up to a monitor but i don't have one.

    NO, this is not possible. The only way to accomplish what you want is with a video capture device.
