    Hi all,

On my 7805u, I like to increase pointer speed to faster than default, but cannot find any way to save the setting. Any time I reboot, it is back to default speed.
    Any ideas?

Thank you for your time and help.

Sounds to me like your driver isn't running at boot. Reboot and go to task manager, under processes see if there is a process called "SynTPEnh.exe" Running.

Thank you for the reply. I checked, and SynTPEnh.exe is indeed running after a reboot.

Try Adjusting your mouse speed in the control panel.

    Control panel>Personalization>Mouse pointers>Pointer options.

Followed the steps, it appears to open the same control settings as the Synaptic icon in my system tray. Made the change to the speed, click Apply, and it returns to center/default after reboot. :(

Hmmm.... reinstall your drivers. I'm still convinced it's a driver issue.
