ok last time i posted problem with my 7805u that kept restarting instead of shutdown. so i went bestbuy today for exchange and geeksqad told me it was a software problem (mouse) not hardware prob and fixed it. when i came home and connected my razer deathadder it wont recognize the mouse (mouse works though, i just cant configure with deathadder firmware), i think they disabled it...
they just told me to give another week a try but im leaving states soon so by the time when i comeback warranty would be gone...
- did anyone have problem using deathadder with 7805u?
- does that mean the polling rate and dpi is switched to default?
- i dont know whats the problem whether its on my mouse or my laptop
-
Are you runing the latest Razer Deathadder drivers from h e r e?
-
yup its the same driver... i just doubt that its a mouse problem
-
Try plugging it into a different computer. It might me a problem with your usb hub. I am using the Lachesis because my old vx revolution wasnt ever recognized.
-
I have a Razer Lachesis with no problems, its probably the same drive too.
-
Deathadder and Lachesis both have different firmware, so we really cant put the two in the same category. if you search online, you will find a number a reviews saying that the Lachesis firmware is difficult to work as well.
I have the Deathadder and I too have the same situation, however I have not found a work around and I just use the generic window drivers to use the mouse. The firmware for the deathadder doesnt recognize windows mouse button 4 and 5 in most applications and games. Same with the Lachesis except all the way up to 9 buttons.
Its a pretty well known issue that Razer has been trying to fix, but seems like they aren't doing so... its been going on for months.
It pretty much hit or miss, I think it may have something to do with the mouse itself. Some people have their deathadder or lachesis working with all programs and some dont. Even with the same drivers and firmware. just google it -
On the plus side, Logitechs Setpoint works well for me and my G5
Rubbing in aside,Maybe you could take the mouse to bestbuy and plug it to the display or something..?
-
I have a G5 also, "I like it alot" Forest Gump
-
I'm using a Diamondback 3G with just the Windows default drivers, works solid. Never been a big fan of the Razor drivers.

hmmm theres a post below mine " 7805u restarts on shutdown" and i think lots of people have same problem, and its caused by wake up on lan setting?
7805u deathadder incompatible??
