    i have a 7805u with a t9900 and i was recently offered a m17x with 6gb of ddr3 ram, sli gtx 260's, and a q9000 for $2,200 and i just wanted to know if it is worth it. will it out perform my 7805u by much?

    Graphically yes, CPU wise, the T9900 is 50% faster by clocks alone assuming only 2 cores are optimally used.

    so would i get better frames with the m17x at its max res which is 1920x1200

    It's about $600 cheaper than from Alienware, and I'm assuming it's used. If you have the cash, and feel like upgrading, then by all means, do it

    thanx for the feedback...i just thought that the cpu would be a bottleneck considering that it's only 2.0ghz
