Anyone else have their CPU fan staying on after waking up from sleep mode? I have a 2887 with 9.08 bios, and it runs fine except for this issue. The fan is running now, and my current HWmonitor temps are:

    ACPI
    TZS0 - 31c
    TZS1 - 32c

    Intel Mobile Core yada:
    Core #0 - 15c
    Core #1 - 16c

I have caught my cpu fan running in sleep mode a couple of times, but I haven't had a problem with them running constantly.

my fans run too much at low temp too. wish I could set thresholds and rpms myself. but dont think that will ever be possible no matter what program u try. One of my few complaints about this lappy. Kinda pisses me off, cuz there's not friggin need for them most of the time. they should come on for gaming. the speed goes up and down, and even seems to pulse up and down idiotically alot too thats more annoying than constant speed. That could have something to do witht the fans start speed which on cheap fans is annoying. sorry to flame but its 2008 and still have fan speed crap everywhere. Desktops have the 4 pin control now thats supposed to help I dont know what these have. I still put controllers on all my fans my desktop is quite and cool. fan speeds should be a smooth ramp from off at low and lower medium temps then ramping slowly to game mode.

Well i hated that pulsing fan noise. That was with 9.08 bios. With 9.12 bios(newest) the fan is constantly on. Not on full, and not on low, but in between.

no kidding, being a gamer laptop, you would assume some things like that would be accesible.

O well, still happy with it despite a few gripes, will get it back next week :)

So the 9.08 bios is known for the odd fan behavior? Maybe I'll check out the .12 then- thanks!

Nahhh...Don't matter yo..all bios 's fan has funky burst.. but much less with last bios.12 or whatever

    TZS0 is garbage eitherway...

This notebook in general rocks but forced me to buy beastly desktop.

Update, I put in the .12 bios and the GPU fan seems to not burst up quite as much, but the CPU fan still stays on after sleep mode. It takes a reboot to fix :(

Oh well, it works, just have to shut down instead of sleep moding.
