    Hey guys,

I really want to buy one of these notebooks but I live in Canada. The nearest USA Best Buy is in Bellingham in Washington. The only thing is that I don't have a passport to the US to drive there and my dad won't take me. Is there any way to get it from there to here?

Unless they have changed it recently, you don't need a US passport or visa to come from Canada. As long as you are a Canadian citizen.

Unless you have the ability to go back and forth between the US and Canada with at least some ease, I'd be worried about buying this laptop and being unable to exchange it.

If you can either 1: Verify you can get back and forth to Best Buy at least once before the end of your 14 day exchange period or 2: Have a trusted friend or relative that lives in Washington (or anywhere in the states if they'll ship it to you) and can stress the heck out of it for 14 days before giving it to you, you might be okay.

Otherwise, having someone buy and ship it right away, or coming to the states once to buy it and then not being able to get back within the 14 day exchange period could create a world of problems if you wind up with a defective model :(

yeah.... i agree... with evan... that's what i've done if i had the chance. unfortunately, my uncle is the one who's buying it for me. (we payed him of course) but he doesn't know what to do with a laptop that might have troubles. that's practically why he stuck with a lenovo. stable units right off the box. good thing though that while i was trying out the unit, i experienced virtually no problems. (logmein remotely) hehe... he also told me that the box looked excellent. no sign of harrassed shipment or anything of the like.
